Swell Series

Swell captures the subtle yet immense forces at play beneath the surface. It represents the slow, deliberate gathering of energy and potential, much like a wave building in the ocean. From a distance, swell appears calm, yet beneath the surface lies a powerful, rising energy. It reflects a period in my life when I stepped back from active work to focus on raising my children, quiet on the outside, but full of passion and creative force waiting to emerge. That energy now unfolds in my work, like a growing wave.

Using neutral tones and subtle shadows rather than bold color, I focus on revealing texture. While the canvas may seem fully controlled, the natural cracks that form as the plaster dries represent the parts of life we cannot control. Through Swell series, I hope viewers can feel my passion and the positive energy embedded within each piece.
